Mid City West Community Council will be awarding two $1,000 Neighborhood Purposes Grants (NPG) for the fall application window of the 2016-2017 fiscal year. Neighborhood Purposes Grants are available through neighborhood councils in the city of Los Angeles and vary in the amounts awarded. The Mid City West $1,000 NPGs are available to any 501(c)(3) nonprofits or public schools looking to do a community improvement project in Mid City West. This could be anything from a community garden to a neighborhood event. Applications will be judged on their benefit to the community of Mid City West and their feasibility.
The application window is from September 9th to October 14th, 2016. The NPG Ad Hoc Committee will thereafter select a final candidate for the grant, with final approval coming from the Mid City West Board of Directors in December of 2016. Interested organizations should apply to the NPG Ad Hoc Committee by sending in their application materials to the NPG Ad Hoc Chair, Mehmet Berker at firstname.lastname@example.org. Application materials will be available for download from the Mid City West website at http://www.midcitywest.org/committees/ad-hoc-committees/neighborhood-purpose-grants-ad-hoc-committee during the application window, and consist of the Application form as provided by the Dept. of Neighborhood Empowerment, and a Mid City West Addendum.
