Traffic Reminder: Academy Awards® on Sunday

The 83nd Academy Awards® will be presented on Sunday, February 27nd at the Kodak Theater on Hollywood Blvd. While the location of the ceremony is not in the Mid City West Community Council area, it will impact traffic for MCW stakeholders, especially those who are driving north from here or coming south through the area near the ceremony. There will also be awards-viewing and post-awards parties in the northern part of the MCW area.

Some streets are already closed around Hollywood Blvd. and Highland Ave., and more will be closed on Saturday and Sunday. Also, the southbound exit from the 101 freeway at Highland Ave. will be closed on Sunday. Streets in West Hollywood will be closed or restricted including the closure of San Vicente Blvd. between Melrose Ave. and Santa Monica Blvd. More details are available on the Oscars website.
