San Vicente Median Landscaping Project to Move Forward

On Thursday, June 7, CRA/LA renewed the contract for landscaping improvements to the medians on San Vicente Boulevard, between Fairfax Avenue and Pico Boulevard. Funding for the project had been in question due to State legislation eliminating redevelopment agencies. Mid City West thanks the Office of Council President Herb Wesson and the Los Angeles Neighborhood Initiative (LANI) for their efforts to secure funding for this project. Mid City West has participated in the steering committee to develop landscaping plans, planter with Jeff Jacobberger representing Mid City West and Sabrina Simmons representing the Miracle Mile Residential Association. Mid City West has allocated $4,700 to this community beautification project. The schedule for making the improvements has not yet been established.
