Some parking regulations relaxed for Jewish holidays

The Los Angeles Department of Transportation, Bureau of Parking Enforcement and Traffic Control will relax enforcement of street cleaning, time limit and preferential parking restrictions during the dates and times and areas listed below.

PLEASE NOTE:  METERS, TOW AWAY ZONES, AND OTHER SAFETY VIOLATIONS WILL STILL BE ENFORCED.

Dates and times of enforcement relaxation:
  • Rosh Hashanah: Wednesday, September 8, 2010 from 2:00 PM to Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 10:00 PM
  • Yom Kippur: Friday, September 17, 2010 from 2:00 PM to Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 11:00 PM
  • Sukkot: Wednesday, September 22, 2010 from 2:00 PM to Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 10:00 PM
  • Simchat Torah: Wednesday, September 29, 2010 from 2:00 PM to Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 10:00 PM
Areas in and around the Mid City West area where the regulations will be relaxed:
  • Area bounded by Robertson Blvd./La Cienega Blvd. to Rossmore Ave./Queen Anne Pl. and from Romaine St. to Pico Blvd.
  • Area bounded by Robertson Blvd. to San Vicente Blvd. and from Beverly Blvd. to Clifton Way (particularly near Cedars-Sinai)
  • Area bounded by Olympic Blvd. to Melrose Ave. and from Fairfax Ave. to Hudson Ave.
  • Area bounded by Laurel Canyon Blvd. to Hayworth Ave. and from Sunset Blvd. to Selma Ave.
  • Area bounded by Robertson Blvd./La Cienega Blvd. to Rossmore Ave./Queen Anne Pl. and from Pico Blvd. to Romaine St.
  • Area bounded by Olympic Blvd. to Melrose Ave. and from Fairfax Ave. to Hudson Ave.
  • Area bounded by Olympic Blvd. to Pico Blvd. and from Overland to Century Park East
  • Area bounded by San Vicente Blvd. to Packard St. and from Genesee Ave. to Masselin Ave.
