DASH fares and routes change
August 1, 2010

Changes in the Los Angeles Department of Transportation DASH lines took effect on August 1st, including both service and fare changes and the elimination of one line in the Mid City West area.
On DASH, the regular fares have increased from 25¢ to 35¢ and fares for seniors and disabled increased from 10¢ to 15¢. (Additional fare increases are scheduled to take place in 2011.) The frequency of service on the Fairfax line is reduced to 30 minutes and the Hollywood/West Hollywood line has been eliminated.
For more information, see the complete list of changes for DASH and other services operated by the Los Angeles Department of Transportation.
Separately, the Metro fare increase approved in 2007 went into effect July 1st. The single-ride fare of $1.25 increased to $1.50 and a day pass went from $5 to $6. Fares are not increasing for seniors, students, the disabled or Medicare recipients. Those fares were frozen until 2013 by the Measure R sales tax increase approved by voters in 2008.
The complete fare list for Metro services is available here.
