The original Farmers Market at Third and Fairfax - celebrating 75 years!

Trash collection one day later this week

September 6, 2010

Monday was Labor Day.  As always, watch out for extra traffic, do not drink and drive, and remember that Labor day is one of the holidays that results in Los Angeles Bureau of Sanitation trash pickup being postponed by one day.  Due to the one day postponement, the collection of containers is as follows:  The Monday collection will occur on Tuesday, Tuesday collection will occur on Wednesday, and so on and so forth, with Friday collection on Saturday for that week only.

Labor day is one of the few holidays when trash collection service is postponed by one day the remainder of the week following the holiday. The others are the Fourth of July and Thanksgiving Day (Thursday).
For more information go to the Los Angeles Bureau of Sanitation website or call 1-800-773-2489 Monday through Friday, between 7:30 a.m. and 4:45 p.m.
