Mid City West welcomes new board member – Vacancy remains for Zone 1 Seat

At its regular board meeting on March 10, 2020, Mid City West voted to fill one of two vacant board seats.

Calling Mid City West Stakeholders for Zone 1 Representative Seat

Our board continues to have a vacancy for the:

Zone 1 Representative board seat.

If you live, work, own real property, or have a stake in the neighborhood as a community interest stakeholder (defined as a person who affirms a substantial and ongoing participation within the neighborhood council’s boundaries and who may be in a community organization such as, but not limited to, educational, non-profit and/or religious organizations) within our council’s boundaries you are eligible for the Zone 1 Representative seat.

Please note that the additional eligibility requirement for the Zone 1 seat requires that you reside within the borders of Zone 1.  “Zone 1” is dark purple in the upper left portion of the map below (click on the menu on the top left corner, select “Zone 1”, and zoom in for more detail):

The current board will vote to select an eligible stakeholder to fill the vacancy at the next regular board meeting.  All candidates will have an opportunity to present to the board and are encouraged to notify the Executive Council, of your intent to run in advance of the board meeting.  All interested candidates must attend the board meeting to be eligible.

Successful board members must complete all ethics, funding and code of conduct training required by the Department of Neighborhood Empowerment and attend general board and committee meetings on a monthly basis.
