On behalf of L.A. Controller Ron Galperin, his Community Engagement Team hopes that you are staying healthy and safe in these challenging times. We understand how difficult it can be to comply with the Safer at Home directive as resources are tough to access and social distancing can be an isolating experience for many members of our community.
In light of this, here are a few items that the Controller has been working on to help get us all through the pandemic:
Food Access in L.A.: we expanded our map of food pantry locations beyond the City of Los Angeles to the entire County. The Controller’s goal is to help people — especially working and low-income families — access fresh and nutritious food so that they can keep themselves healthy. Access the Food Pantries Across L.A. County Map here.
2019 Tax Extensions: click here for more information about tax deadline extensions and penalty waivers.
Small Business Microloans: the newly established Small Business Emergency Microloan Program provides financing to strengthen small business enterprises in this time of acute need.
The Controller’s newsletter is also a great resource for updates and information around City response to COVID-19.
